St Germain Cabin
Joseph [1874 – 1959] and Charles St. Germain [1874 – 1958], twin sons of Charles and Angelique (Lafournaise) St. Germain, settled with their family along Shaftesbury Trail on River Lot 39 in 1894. Charles Sr. was among the last of the buffalo hunters whose expeditions took him into Montana and Minnesota. He was also reported to have been quite a rum-runner in his time. The St. Germain family raised livestock, crops and a huge garden. The farm was a well-known stopping place for weary travellers. Many of their descendants still live in the area.

ACCOMMODATION POLICIES:
- Guests must be a minimum of 21 years of age to book any services
- No Pets
- No smoking please in any buildings on site
- Firewood is available at the office for $5.00 per bundle.
- Check-in: after 3:00 pm
- Check-out: before 12:00 pm (noon)
- Quiet time 10:30 pm to 7:30 am
- Violation of quiet times and smoking policy may result in $250 additional charge
- Unauthorized additional people or pets discovered on the premises will result in charging of applicable fees at twice the normal rate
